Strong and impressive edition of AGRA, VINARIA and FOODTECH in 2024
International Fair Plovdiv expects next year’s edition of the three international exhibitions: AGRA, VINARIA and FOODTECH to be the strongest ever. These exhibitions will be held simultaneously for the ninth time within the mega forum for agribusiness and food in the Balkans. Such optimistic expectations are based on the number of applications for participation and the surface areas booked so far. Based on information from the Sales Department of the Fair, there will be an increase by 30% for both these indicators compared to the previous edition. The upcoming edition will consolidate the ranking of the forum as the largest economic event for agriculture, vine growing, winemaking and food industry in Southeast Europe. Traditionally, it attracts manufacturers and traders by offering opportunities for direct marketing to an audience of thousands of people and for business negotiations with contractors and visitors from all over the world.
The international exhibitions VINARIA 2024 and FOODTECH 2024 will welcome exhibitors and visitors with an attractive vision and a new location. The City of Wine and Delicacies is already being built in the spacious Pavilion 8, while the Technology Area remains in Pavilion 11. The 31st edition of the vine growing and winemaking exhibition will feature traditional and established wineries, boutique wineries from various regions and countries. Amateurs and professionals alike will enjoy presentations and tastings of elegant wines from around the world, branded spirits, exotic drinks, extravagant and daring combinations of aromas and flavors. For the first time, International Fair Plovdiv provides each exhibiting wine producer with the participation of one of their products in the “Golden rhyton” International Competition. It is organized according to world-class criteria and is held in partnership with the Union of Enologists in Bulgaria and the University of Food Technology. The “Golden Rhyton” awards from VINARIA are the most prestigious honors in winemaking and a guarantee of top quality. Visitors will have the opportunity to taste the wines which have won the prestigious prize.
FOODTECH is the fastest developing international exhibition for raw materials and foods from all over the world. It presents the latest trends in the food industry and innovations in food culture. The 29th edition is organized by International Fair Plovdiv, again under the auspices the Ministry of Agriculture. It will be held from February 20 to 24, 2024 on the ground of the Fair. The International Exhibition for Food and Drinks, Packaging, Machinery and Technology FOODTECH attracts professionals, experts and lovers of gourmet lines, restaurateurs and traders.
The 29th edition will impress with gourmet delicacies and fine appetizers with an authentic Bulgarian taste and origin. Meats and meat preserves from ecologically clean regions made according to various recipes will be presented. Cheeses, yellow cheeses and dairy products from family-run dairies and organic farms will be among the products displayed at the exhibition. Jams and marmalades, chocolate and sugar products (in natural and fruit variations), tahini, vegetable oils, lyutenitza, sauces and snacks. A wide range of spicy, exotic or natural products will be part of the catalog that promises an explosion of flavors at FOODTECH 2024.
Traditionally, everyone expects with great impatience the most objective contest, the Consumer’s Choice competition. It is organized by International Fair Plovdiv in cooperation with the University of Food Technology. Visitors to the exhibition assess the taste and qualities of the participating products and nominate the finalists. Exhibitors get the opportunity to conduct direct marketing and the chance to win a plaque and diploma from FOODTECH 2024, which is a great marketing advantage for every winning product.
Lovers of the Italian culinary tradition can rest assured, because the “Tastes of Italy” exhibition will once again be part of FOODTECH. They will enjoy a rich variety of foods, cooking ingredients, delicate and typical dishes and specific drinks from the Apennine Peninsula.
The combination of several strong exhibitions oriented to agribusiness, food industry, wine production and tourism creates better conditions for successful marketing to the participants and pro visitors. It displays a complete panorama of some strategic sectors of the industry, which are interconnected both in terms of production and marketing.
In 2023 611 companies from 25 countries took part in the megaforum for agribusiness, food industry and wine industry, and the visitors were nearly 52,000.
