Dal 2015 SMI è costantemente impegnata nell’assicurare ai propri clienti in Gran Bretagna e Irlanda un supporto locale rapido ed efficiente, sia a livello commerciale che tecnico, per rispondere alle esigenze di un mercato in forte evoluzione.
SMI (UK & Ireland) è una società con sede a Manchester, un importante nodo logistico e industriale che vanta una posizione strategica per servire al meglio i clienti attuali e potenziali del Gruppo SMI e rispondere tempestivamente alle loro richieste di intervento.
Lo staff attualmente composto da 6 persone, coordinato da Paul McGovern, Sales Director di SMI (UK & Ireland), assiste i clienti per richieste commerciali, tecniche, fornitura ricambi, manutenzioni e nuove applicazioni.
Competenza e professionalità sono indiscutibili punti di forza della filiale inglese del Gruppo SMI, sempre più impegnata nella gestione di importanti progetti come la recente fornitura di macchine per l’imballaggio secondario alla società gallese Radnor Hills per rispondere alle esigenze di soluzioni di packaging di valore ed eco-sostenibili.
Quest’anno SMI UK ha festeggiato il suo decimo anniversario.

“Nel 2015, Paolo Nava, CEO del Gruppo SMI, mi chiese di aprire una filiale SMI nel Regno Unito. All’epoca, SMI serviva il mercato britannico e quello irlandese direttamente dall’Italia e, sebbene avesse storicamente venduto un numero considerevole di macchine, il fatturato complessivo in Gran Bretagna e Irlanda stava gradualmente diminuendo. Per questa ragione SMI decise di aprire una filiale locale per avere una presenza diretta sul mercato, con personale locale madrelingua che gestisse i clienti esistenti e nuovi al fine di migliorare il servizio e incrementare le vendite”.

Since 2015 SMI has been consistently committed to providing its customers in Great Britain and Ireland with fast and efficient local support, both commercially and technically, to meet the needs of a rapidly evolving market.
SMI (UK & Ireland) is a company based in Manchester, a major logistical and industrial hub strategically positioned to assist the current and potential customers of the SMI Group and respond promptly to their service requests.
The staff, currently consisting of 6 people, coordinated by Paul McGovern, Sales Director of SMI (UK & Ireland), assists customers with commercial requests, technical enquiries, spare parts supply, maintenance, and new applications.
Competence and professionalism are undeniable strengths of the UK-based branch of the SMI Group, increasingly engaged in managing important projects such as the recent supply of secondary packaging machines to the Welsh company Radnor Hills to meet the needs for valuable and eco-sustainable packaging solutions.
This year SMI UK celebrated its tenth anniversary.

“In 2015 Mr Paolo Nava, the SMI Group’s CEO , asked me to open an SMI Branch in the UK. At that time SMI had been servicing the UK & Irish markets remotely from Italy. Although historically SMI had sold a respectable number of machines into the UK & Ireland markets, the overall business turnover in this area was gradually declining and for that reason SMI decided that opening the branch in the UK, in order to have a physical presence with locally-based people managing existing and new customers, was the only way to increase our sales again and improve our customer service”.
