Conto alla rovescia per POWTECH TECHNOPHARM. Dal 29 settembre al 1° ottobre Norimberga ospiterà nuovamente il salone dedicato alle tecnologie di processo, offrendo un programma che copre l’intera process industry. Per gli operatori del settore alimentare, quattro sono gli ambiti di maggiore interesse: gentle food processing, intelligenza artificiale, sostenibilità e sicurezza degli impianti.
Lavorazioni delicate e intelligenza artificiale: il cuore dell’Expert Forum
È soprattutto l’Expert Forum, con un appuntamento fisso ogni giorno allo stand 7-489, del padiglione 7, a concentrare i contenuti più utili per l’industria alimentare. Il gentle food processing sarà uno dei temi portanti, messo a confronto con il mondo farmaceutico e affiancato da un focus dedicato alle applicazioni dell’AI nei processi produttivi. Non mancheranno però anche spunti più trasversali, penso alla riflessione sull’evoluzione delle tecnologie di processo e all’efficienza energetica degli impianti, un tema che ormai nessuna azienda alimentare può permettersi di ignorare.
Tra gli approfondimenti da tenere d’occhio ce ne sono due in particolare: l’ottimizzazione dei flussi di materiale, pensando agli stabilimenti del futuro, e l’uso dell’intelligenza artificiale per la diagnostica delle macchine e la gestione dei processi. Alla sostenibilità sarà interamente dedicato il VDMA Special Show “Clean Air – Smart Processing”, una vetrina di soluzioni per una produzione a basse emissioni e processi resi più intelligenti dal digitale. Risposte concrete, insomma, a una richiesta di sostenibilità che riguarda sempre più da vicino anche il comparto alimentare.
Sicurezza di processo: dimostrazioni pratiche e approfondimenti tecnici
Grande attenzione anche alla process safety. Due volte al giorno, a mezzogiorno e nel pomeriggio, il pubblico potrà assistere a dimostrazioni dal vivo sugli effetti di un’esplosione di polveri. Per un confronto più tecnico, giovedì 1° ottobre, dalle 9:30 alle 12:30, nel NCC Ost, è in programma l’IND EX Explosion Safety Forum, che farà il punto su normative, protezione dalle esplosioni e le ultime evidenze della ricerca scientifica raccolte in test su larga scala.
In fiera troveranno spazio anche le tecnologie più recenti per il trattamento di polveri, solidi e liquidi, oltre a numerose occasioni di incontro tra operatori da tutto il mondo. Un’occasione, per il settore alimentare, di capire da vicino verso dove si sta muovendo il processing nei prossimi anni.

Countdown to POWTECH TECHNOPHARM. From September 29 to October 1, Nuremberg will once again host the trade fair dedicated to process technologies, offering a program covering the entire process industry. For food sector operators, four areas stand out as most relevant: gentle food processing, artificial intelligence, sustainability, and plant safety.
Gentle processing and Artificial Intelligence: The heart of the Expert Forum
It is above all the Expert Forum, with a fixed daily session at stand 7-489 in Hall 7, that will concentrate the most useful content for the food industry. Gentle food processing will be one of the leading themes, compared with the pharmaceutical world and accompanied by a dedicated focus on AI applications in production processes. There will also be more cross-cutting insights, including reflections on the evolution of process technologies and on plant energy efficiency — a topic that no food company can afford to ignore anymore.
Among the sessions worth watching, two stand out in particular: the optimization of material flows, with an eye on the factories of the future, and the use of artificial intelligence for machine diagnostics and process management. Two different paths, but both heading in the same direction: that of an increasingly digitalized industry.
The VDMA special show puts the spotlight on sustainability
The VDMA Special Show “Clean Air – Smart Processing” will be entirely dedicated to sustainability, showcasing solutions for low-emission production and processes made smarter through digitalization. Concrete answers, in short, to a demand for sustainability that increasingly concerns the food sector as well.
Process safety: Practical demonstrations and technical insights
Strong attention will also be given to process safety. Twice a day, at midday and in the afternoon, visitors will be able to watch live demonstrations of the effects of a dust explosion. For a more technical discussion, on Thursday, October 1, from 9:30 to 12:30, in the NCC Ost, the IND EX Explosion Safety Forum is scheduled, providing an update on regulations, explosion protection, and the latest scientific research findings gathered from large-scale tests.
The fair will also feature the latest technologies for the treatment of powders, solids, and liquids, along with numerous networking opportunities among operators from around the world — a chance for the food sector to get a close-up view of where processing is heading in the years ahead.
