In line with its sustainable innovation strategy, Cafea UK decided to upgrade one of its production lines with a new secondary packaging solution.
The project was managed by SMI UK, the British branch of SMI GROUP, which supported the customer in selecting the most suitable technology: the XP650 ALX-T, an automatic overlap shrink wrapper with tray inserting device by SMIPACK. This new machine, intended for the aluminium and cardboard can line, complements the XP650 ALX-T already acquired last year for the packaging of glass and PET jars.

XP650 ALX-T: Smart technology for customized packaging

This versatility makes it ideal for the packaging of rigid containers such as jars, cans or pots, arranged in multipacks destined for large-scale distribution, in both food and non-food sectors.
