IO-Link è un sistema ideale per collegare sensori intelligenti a bus di campo di livello superiore. Per renderlo adatto anche all’industria alimentare, sono necessari componenti con un elevato grado di protezione. La pulizia quotidiana degli impianti con un getto ad alta pressione è la norma per molte applicazioni dell’industria alimentare. I componenti utilizzati in questo processo devono avere un elevato grado di protezione e soddisfare specifici requisiti igienici, ad esempio per quanto riguarda il materiale di cui sono fatti. I nuovi master IO-Link della serie PerformanceLine sono stati progettati appositamente per queste applicazioni. Sono conformi ai gradi di protezione IP65, IP67 e IP69K, i connettori M12 sono in acciaio inox e le guarnizioni in EPDM.
I nuovi master IO-Link hanno quattro o otto porte e sono disponibili in due versioni per PROFINET o EtherNet/IP. Poiché le porte possono alimentare attuatori fino a 2 A, è possibile collegare anche attuatori con elevati requisiti di potenza, come i terminali delle valvole. La limitazione di corrente può essere impostata separatamente per ciascuna porta e la misurazione di corrente e tensione consente un facile monitoraggio.
Se in un’applicazione vengono utilizzati più master, l’alimentazione può essere collegata in cascata tramite cavi M12 codificati a L con daisy chain. Ciò consente di risparmiare materiale, tempo e costi durante l’installazione. I parametri dei master IO-Link e di tutti i sensori collegati possono essere impostati comodamente tramite il software ifm moneo|configure SA.
Cavi abbinati con codifica L
Il collegamento dei sensori ai master IO-Link nell’industria alimentare richiede cavi adeguati, che soddisfino anche i requisiti più severi. A questo scopo, ifm offre una gamma completa di cavi con connettori codificati L secondo la norma IEC 61076. La collaudata tecnologia ecolink assicura un collegamento affidabile e serrato grazie a un montaggio sicuro, anche senza attrezzi: l’arresto meccanico integrato protegge l’O-ring dalla rottura del dado in caso di serraggio eccessivo e la protezione dalle vibrazioni ad azione asimmetrica mantiene il dado saldamente in posizione. La codifica a L e la sezione del cavo di 2,5 mm2 consentono la trasmissione di correnti fino a 16 A. I cavi di collegamento sono disponibili con connettori diritti e ad angolo, in lunghezze da 0,25 m a 50 m.
Powerful IO-Link masters and matching L-coded cables for the food industry
IO-Link is an ideal system for connecting intelligent sensors to higher-level fieldbuses. In order to make it also suitable for the food industry, components with a high protection rating are required. With new IO-Link master modules and L-coded cables, ifm offers a suitable solution for this purpose
Daily cleaning of the installations with a high-pressure jet is the norm for many applications in the food industry. The components used in this process must meet hygienic requirements, for example with regard to their material, and also have a high protection rating. The new IO-Link masters of the PerformanceLine series are specially designed for such applications. They meet the IP65, IP67 and IP69K protection ratings, the M12 sockets are made of stainless steel and the seals are made of EPDM. The new IO-Link masters have either four or eight ports and are available in two versions for either PROFINET or EtherNet/IP. Since the ports can supply actuators with up to 2 A, actuators with high power requirements, such as valve terminals, can also be connected. A current limitation can be set separately for each port, and a current and voltage measurement enables easy monitoring. If several masters are used in one application, the power supply can be cascaded via L-coded M12 cables with a daisy chain. This saves material, time and costs during installation. The parameters of the IO-Link masters and all connected sensors can be conveniently set via the moneo|configure SA software.
Matching L-coded cables
Connecting sensors to IO-Link masters in the food industry means that suitable cables are needed, which also meet the strict requirements. For this purpose, ifm now offers a comprehensive range of cables with connectors that are L-coded according to IEC 61076. The proven ecolink technology ensures a reliable and tight connection through secure mounting, even without tools: The integrated mechanical end stop protects the O-ring from being destroyed by overtightening the nut and the asymmetrically acting vibration protection keeps the nut firmly in position. The L-coding and the cable cross-section of 2.5 mm2 enable transmission of currents up to 16 A. The connection cables are available with straight and angled connectors and in lengths from 0.25 m up to 50 m.
