OCRIM is highly renowned across the globe for its Italian Made brand which is evidence of the production and logistic process that is carried out only at the company’s factories in Cremona, based on research in quality and design, which are true conventions of Italian business culture. To further support this approach, OCRIM acquired the company FBC, historical reference in the end-of-line sector and leader in bags palletization, by creating a business unit that collects values such as experience, know-how, quality and historicity. FBC’s entire production cycle has been integrated into OCRIM, thus strengthening the Italian Made concept, both in design and production. Thanks to this operation, a further tile has been added to cereal processing, and OCRIM has been confirmed again as ideal partner by increasingly demanding and quality-conscious customers.
Since 2015, OCRIM has been revolutionizing its know-how, although remaining attached to the Italian Made feeling. In fact, OCRIM is considered by its partners as key part of the food supply chain. The partnership with Bonifiche Ferraresi SpA, the biggest Italian agriculture company, has turned OCRIM into a true flagship for the entire production chain.
The goal of this important decision is to be a partner that works thoroughly, fully aware of the importance of control and management of the raw material, wheat, that will be processed by OCRIM machines before reaching consumers’ tables. Thanks to this important agreement and new skills development, many important initiatives have been created. First of all, the Milling Hub, a company that aims at building and managing the different milling plants on OCRIM’s premises in Cremona canal port, conceived together with Bonifiche Ferraresi. The Milling Hub aims to strengthen Italian agri-food sector, giving the food industries without their own milling plant the chance of having a customized one and benefitting from OCRIM team’s technical and technological skills.
They will be granted a traced and certified product (flour), thanks to accurate control by the agri-food chain, The Italian Agri-Food Chain Choice, of which OCRIM, Bonifiche Ferraresi and other important Italian companies are the founders. In addition to this, thanks to the great training experience, proved by the International School of Milling Technology (Scuola Internazionale di Tecnologia Molitoria) which has been training technicians and technologists since 1965, and in line with the Milling Hub project, the Milling Hub Masterclass has been created to give education a new vision. Due to increasingly higher demand from skilled people, OCRIM has thought the Milling Hub as a real facility/school and structure able to guarantee further comprehensive and qualified training. In fact, only a limited number of previously trained technicians, with a well-defined experience, can access the Masterclass in order to guarantee a high-degree training. 360° advanced training focusing on the knowledge of seeds, through cereal and pulses processing, to finished product sales.
