Solutions for coffee secondary packaging

Coffee intended for sale to the public comes in bags and vacuum packs on the one hand, capsules and pods on the other. In both cases MH intervenes after the primary packaging with dedicated are table-top type conveyors

Coffee intended for sale to the public in supermarkets or specialized stores comes in two forms: bags and vacuum packs on the one hand, capsules and pods on the other. In both cases MH intervenes strictly after the primary packaging and in both cases the dedicated conveyors are of the table-top type.

The accessories along the line are a little bit different. Both types of packaging often require a buffer between the primary and secondary packaging and in the case of bags or vacuum packs, the ideal is a LIFO system such as our BAT-Buffer. The same system can also be used for the capsules, but if the geometry of these allows it, it is much more convenient to focus on a recirculation table.

Before passing to secondary packaging, it is very common, particularly for the vacuum pack, the need to insert different accessories in the conveyor line, rotation, tilting and flipping devices can be easily found. The secondary packaging is usually a flexible film overpack for vacuum packing, while in the case of the capsules it is a cardboard box. Then we move on to bundle or cardboard box and from that moment we return to the standard of the boxes lines. Sometimes, it is possible to find bypasses that bring the single package directly to the last package for shipping and these are always made with table-top conveyor belts.
