Zanotti is strongly committed to developing sustainable and climate friendly solutions for the refrigeration sector. It has unique capability to offer refrigeration solutions that span from farm to fork across the whole cold chain, covering industrial, transport and commercial refrigeration. All new products adopt now natural or low GWP refrigerants and are therefore future-proof, regardless of any change in legislation.
For large industrial applications such as cold stores, ice rinks and food processing plants, Zanotti can offer not only complete engineered turn-key solutions but also customizable ammonia screw compressor units with a wide range of options such as economizer and inverter drive and, to minimize the charge of ammonia, low-charge chillers, delivering high capacity while reducing the cost and complexity of safety requirements.
For food retail and small industrial applications, Zanotti can now offer a complete range of subcritical and transcritical CO2 compressor racks, with and without integral gas cooler, also with parallel compressors and inverter drive.
From 2019, the CO2 product offering will also include units for smaller stores and cold rooms: for capacities ranging from 20 to 50 kW, a range of transcritical CO2 condensing units with inverter driven semi-hermetic compressors; from 2 to 24 kW, a smaller range featuring a 2-stage inverter rotary compressor, suitable for low and medium temperature applications.
These series exceed the minimum efficiency Ecodesign requirements for condensing units and are suitable for any European climate. Matching CO2 evaporators will also be available to form, together with expansion valves and a system controller, a complete system for small and medium sized cold rooms.
Having in mind ease of installation, Zanotti will introduce a range of CO2 monoblocks for medium and low temperature small and medium sized cold rooms, an incredibly simple plug and play solution which does not require the installation of refrigerant piping on site.
The CO2 range includes a CO2 ice-maker which can be connected to a centralized CO2 system or a dedicated CO2 condensing unit.
Zanotti is also working with the new generation of low GWP synthetic refrigerants. Most medium temperature monoblock ranges and condensing units are now available with R407H (GWP 1495), a non-flammable alternative to R404A developed by Daikin Chemicals, which does not contain the expensive HFO molecule.
For smaller equipment with a refrigerant charge below 2.5 kg, Zanotti is at field trial stage with R455A, a mildly flammable R404A alternative (GWP=145) suitable for medium and low temperature applications.
All products can be connected to a remote monitoring system, which can send data to a mobile app running on your smartphone or tablet or to a cloud platform where they are stored and can be retrieved at any time for analysis, troubleshooting and predictive maintenance.
